THE BLACK KETTLE

Proverbs 21:30

The New Religious Right?

Hans Rustad:

Chief of Norway’s intelligence police, PST, Janne Kristiansen says that Anders Behring Breivik was not extreme in his views on the internet. She would rather call him a moderate.

Her statement is an embarrasment for the media who since Friday has made a big fuzz about Behring Breivik’s writings on the net, amongst others this website.

Her dismissal of his opinions as almost moderate suggests that the media employs guilt by association by deliberate design.

[…]

I, and many others, have spent the past few days deconstructing the slanderous meme in the media that Breivik is a right-wing extremist fundamentalist Christian. He was none of those things. He was a deranged xenophobe. The writer of the above article nails it when he writes ‘the media employs guilt by association by deliberate design.’ This should put to rest any presumption by the general public that the media is either objective or ideologically neutral. The MSM is an organ of anti-Christian/conservative propaganda and it must be changed by rooting-out the problem in the schools of journalism which consistently turn out these radical, left-wing demagogues.

  1. oh please. have you read your own blog? Are you seriously decrying “guilt by association” when that is a principal formula employed against muslims, liberals, Democrats, and others, by those you link to? Have you seen Glen Beck’s blackboard? You’re just getting back what you have been dishing out for years.

    • The point here is that there is no association to begin with. As I have taken pains to point out, Breivik is neither a Christian nor a right-winger [he’s pro-homosexual rights and a pro-hedonist social democrat]. He is a deranged xenophobe and likely certifiably insane. As noted in the article above he ‘was not extreme in his views on the internet. She would rather call him a moderate.’
