The world is justifiably concerned about a nuclear capable Iran, but the Islamic Republic’s prime ally, the Russian Federation, is putting into active service a weapon with more destructive capability than Tehran could ever dream of possessing. While Iran’s main target is America’s ally, Israel, Moscow still aims its atomic weaponry primarily at the United States.
As budget cuts place ever greater limitations on American deterrence, Moscow – and its allies—are forging ahead in their construction of an ever greater military capability.
A left-wing “media watchdog” boss reportedly colludes with the White House and fantasizes that snipers are aiming at him. The real assassination attempt is government targeting of freedom of the press.
Media Matters For America head David Brock surrounded himself with “more security than a Third World dictator,” including a semi-automatic-toting “assistant” protecting him from right-wing assassination squads, according to the Daily Caller.
Add in ex-journalist Brock’s reported $250,000 annual salary and Media Matters financier George Soros may start wondering if he’s getting the best, ahem, bang for his buck.
Recent revelations expose Media Matters as nothing more than a thinly disguised adjunct of the Democratic National Committee. With President Obama announcing he was breaking his campaign promise of refusing the help of Super PACs, you’ll never guess who serves as the head of a new one called American Bridge 21st Century: Media Matters’ David Brock. And there’s lots of overlap in the two groups’ donor lists.

We just received the names of the four journalists that were fired:
Moshe Cohen, editor, fired on January 30, 10 years with CNN.
Izi Landberg, Producer, about 25 years with CNN, fired on January 30.
Avi Kaner cameraman fired on January 30, 10 years with CNN.
Michal Zippori desk producer, situation still unclear.
The media scandal that you are about to read was revealed to us by a totally reliable source.
It is likely to provoke a wave of shock and indignation within the North American media industry, and it certainly will not calm down the controversy over the pro-palestinian CNN treatment of the conflict.
The War of 1812 may be one of the world’s oddest conflicts, if only because both sides are confident they won.
Canada was invaded and subsequently repelled the aggressor (which included burning down the WH), so of course Canada won.

Palin has proven herself the most powerful female politician in the world. Angela Merkel runs a country and has a little influence in Europe. Hillary Clinton’s name used to be on the lips of people in the same sentence as “president of the United States.” But no one else can speak and shake the corridors of power to the foundation as can Palin
From inveighing against “death panels” in Obamacare to crony capitalism in Washington, Palin has shaped the political agenda is more profound ways that one would imagine a private citizen who has the bottom half of a failed presidential campaign who was hounded out of office could achieve.
And, like Ronald Reagan before her, Palin has the power to drive a certain type of person insane.

DID THE New York City Police Department use “terrible judgment,’’ as Mayor Michael Bloomberg said , when it showed a documentary about Islamist extremists — “The Third Jihad’’ — to more than 1,400 officers undergoing counterterrorism training?
You might think so if you took your cues from a New York Times editorial calling the documentary a “hate-filled film about Muslims,’’ or from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which declared that it “defiled our faith and misrepresented everything we stood for.’’
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser fervently disagrees.
Jasser is a former US Navy officer and a past president of the Arizona Medical Association. He is also an observant Muslim, a Wisconsin-reared son of Syrian immigrants deeply grateful for the freedom and tolerance his parents found in America. Ever since 9/11, he has been fighting the Islamist extremists whose goal is to destroy that freedom and tolerance.
“As a devout Muslim I saw it as my responsibility to expose the radicals,’’ Jasser says in “The Third Jihad,’’ which he narrated. “I resented that they were exploiting the religion I love.’’
After al Qaeda’s murder of 3,000 Americans, Jasser recalls in the film, “I had expected to see Muslims in America taking to the streets and protesting against [Osama] bin Laden. Instead, in the years that followed, we saw many Muslim leaders standing up to defend or support the radicals.’’ So he launched the American Islamic Forum for Democracy to defend American values, promote the separation of mosque and state, and expose the Islamist agenda behind certain Muslim organizations.
The best-known of those organizations, CAIR, describes itself as a civil-rights group. In reality it is anything but.

George Will couldn’t say it any plainer than he does in this clip. He says that the HHS mandate is exactly what liberalism looks like, trying to “break all the institutions of civil society” to make them the “saddle of the state”.
And when it comes to the Catholic Bishops, he doesn’t hold back. He says that this is what they deserve considering they were largely in favor of ObamaCare.

Resistance to a new bill aimed at limiting foreign law in Pennsylvania courts serves as a case study of how Islamists and their allies operate: peddling falsehoods about Shari’a, painting Muslims as victims, and denying that anyone seeks to institutionalize aspects of Islamic law — even as they vigorously promote that very agenda. With similar legislation being debated across the U.S., understanding their tactics is critical.

The Arab Spring brought Egyptians new freedoms: kidnapping and robbing American tourists, the arrest of 43 NGO workers, including 19 Americans, senseless killings, endless riots and chaos, burning of churches and the killing and kidnapping of Christians.
Arrests of Westerners and accusing some of espionage and stirring up the riots and attacking and accusing Christians of working with the enemies of Islam, is nothing new and is almost always politically motivated. Focusing on the outside non-Muslim world rather than focusing on urgent internal matters and taking responsibility for previous failures has always been the norm in almost all Muslim countries, especially Egypt. With a straight face, an Egyptian MP recently commented on the Egyptian soccer riots that resulted in the killing of over 75 people and injuring hundreds, by saying “This anarchy is caused by America, Israel and the former regime.”
Shock Claim: Whistle-Blower Says Planned Parenthood Clinics Defrauded Gov’t to Pay for Abortion-Related Services
by Billy Hallowell:
Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Accused of Medicaid Abortion, Womens Services FraudPlanned Parenthood continues to find itself in the midst of controversy. Karen Reynolds, a former employee at one of the organization’s Lufkin, Texas, clinics, has blown the whistle on an alleged multi-million-dollar billing scheme.
Reynolds, who worked as a health center assistant for the clinic from 1999 until 2009, claims that she was instructed to help the organization bring in optimal revenue by falsifying records. In the end, this purportedly enabled the organization to extract monies from Medicaid and the Women’s Health Program for services that were never granted.
According to Reynolds, this was the procedure that staff followed in all 12 Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast clinics in both Texas and Louisiana. The Lufkin News reports:

University Islamic Societies Sow Terrorist Propaganda: “I started to get really into it [Al-Awlaki lectures]….everybody listens to him and likes him.”
A newly-released study from the British organization Student Rights exposes a problem of which the moderate British Muslim community has been aware for years: the advance of radical ideology among young Muslims, through videos and direct preaching.
A report, “Case Study: London South Bank University Islamic Society,” discloses that the London South Bank University (LSBU)’s Islamic Society (Isoc) has exploited social media to disseminate terrorist propaganda. The LSBU Isoc, an affiliate of the Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS), has long been known for harboring radicals and their sympathisers.

Romans erected 2000 crosses outside Jerusalem on which to hang Jews a few years before Jesus was even born: a way of diverting attention from problems and the real causes of them.
Discrimination, prejudice, bigotry, intolerance, persecution, racism, and xenophobia have existed in all historical eras and in all countries in some form. However, there is something altogether distinctive in the extraordinary persistence of antisemitism, the hateful and hostile perceptions and persecution of Jews as individuals and as a collective group that has existed for thousands of years throughout the world up to the present. From a rational point of view this persistence is baffling because of the contradictory nature of the negative assertions about Jews, the way in which they are assessed by a standard not applied to others, and because that hostility is manifested irrespective of any particular behavior by Jews. No other group of people in the world has been charged with these characteristics. Antisemitism has been displayed in public life, the media, school text -books, the workplace, religious institutions, and in reference to Israel.
The White House announced plans on Monday to help “Arab Spring” countries swept by revolutions with more than $800 million in economic aid, while maintaining U.S. military aid to Egypt.
by J. Christian Adams:
The secular Leftists who control the White House were steamrolled last week by the Catholic Church, and they still don’t understand why. Obama’s requirement that church organizations provide contraception and abortifacients unleashed a mighty backlash from Jews, Catholics and Protestants. Leftists fancy themselves as champions of the First Amendment, but now we know that doesn’t include the free exercise of religion.
The real reason the White House was steamrolled is that the Left doesn’t understand what it is up against. Rachel Maddow, for example, thinks people of faith oppose the Obama mandate because it provides “a convenient partisan cudgel to use against Democrats.” To Maddow, profound religious conviction couldn’t explain the backlash. Instead, “partisan cudgels” provide an explanation more familiar to her.
Consider further the always caustic and usually wrong Eric Boehlert of the Soros-funded Media Matters. Boehlert says the fight with the churches “feels like 1962, we’re arguing over ‘birth control’ in 2012.” Boehlert doesn’t understand this fight isn’t about birth control, but religious freedom.
Boehlert doesn’t understand that the usual Leftist tactic of mockery and ridicule won’t work on these opponents. Name calling is nothing compared to what faith communities are willing to endure.
A wave of conservatives, Catholic leaders, even typically media-shy nuns is building to crash on President Obama’s insurance birth control mandate, raising the possibility that ObamaCare will join the economy as a top issue in the 2012 election.
On multiple fronts, foes of the president’s insurance birth control demand are forming this week, some to raise money to advertise against the president’s reelection campaign and others simply to plead with the White House to stay out of the church’s business.
The effort kicked into high gear Friday when Obama offered a compromise on the issue that was rejected by Catholic bishops and political conservatives. Over the weekend, the opponents worked overtime to build coalitions to fight the demand that Catholic agencies provide insurance that includes birth control, even if they don’t pay for it.
By Lloyd Marcus:
In their isolated inside-the-Beltway arrogance, it appears the Obama administration did not anticipate the huge blowback resulting from Obama’s decree that Catholic institutions provide birth control, abortion drugs, and other contraceptive services to their employees.
This latest attack on the unborn is simply more of the same from Obama. As an Illinois senator, Obama voted against the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which authorized hospital staff to give medical assistance to babies who survived failed abortions. Before the Born-Alive Act, hospitals were legally forced to leave an unsuccessfully aborted baby to die. Some died quickly; some clung to life for several hours. Obama voted against Born-Alive Act three times.
But folks, Obama is not alone in his callousness towards the most innocent of human life.

Any Israel supporter has seen his or her share of phony reports about alleged Israeli crimes spread like wildfire through the Internet. Before anyone has the chance to correct the record, the public has already been irrevocably exposed to the false report.
Well, this week, it happened to CNN. Two weeks after the Israeli Walla news site (Hebrew) reported that CNN had downsized its Jerusalem bureau, the blogosphere suddenly erupted with suspicions that CNN had deliberately laid-off the Jewish Israeli staff, leaving only Arab employees.
According to the blog site where the story appeared to originate:

The European Union was always a paradox. Its existence was predicated entirely on the notion of German guilt, translating into massive cash transfers east and south. Just as Versailles was supposed to have restrained Germany, then a divided, postwar Germany, then NATO integration and the common Soviet enemy, and then the EU — and now what next?
There was quite a EU veneer placed over the politically incorrect “German Problem.” Most of us listened in disbelief as we were lectured that veritable disarmament, subsidized windmills, reach outs to a Syria or Libya, easy anti-Americanism, and sermons about cradle-to-grave socialism were the way of the new Europe. And always came the grating condescension, that a self-appointed bureaucratic class in Brussels might lecture Neanderthals what was good for them, without worry over democratic checks and balances.
In understandable fear of cannibalizing Europe yet a third time within a century’s span, European academics and elite functionaries had taken a perfectly understandable notion of a European common market and transmogrified it into an anti-democratic, utopian, and utterly unworkable European Union. Was the euro supposed to trump the laws of Economics 1A, simply because it was constructed as something moral?
