In yet another display of disdain for the Anglo-American Special Relationship, the Obama administration has weighed in on the mounting tensions between Great Britain and Argentina over the Falkland Islands. Just two days after Prime Minister David Cameron issued a robust statement in the House of Commons vowing to defend the sovereignty of the Falklands, the US State Department has undercut Britain yet again with a deeply unhelpful statement that plays into Argentina’s hands.
In response to a question on the Falklands at Thursday’s State Department press briefing, a US government spokesman supported direct negotiations between Buenos Aires and London over the sovereignty of the Falklands, something that Argentina has been pressing for aggressively, and which Britain sees as completely unacceptable.
As far is London is concerned, the sovereignty of the Falklands was decisively settled in the 1982 war when British forces retook the Islands after Argentina’s brutal military junta invaded them.
The anti-Anglo ingrate strikes again.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan of U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Blast Obama Administration for Contraception Mandate
The Catholic Bishops of the United States are reportedly furious over what they call the “literally unconscionable” decision by the Obama Administration to require that contraception be included in virtually all health plans provided by religious-affiliated institutions to their employees.
The announcement means that the mandate and its narrow exemption will not change. Rather, there will be a delay in enforcement against some employers.
“In effect, the president is saying we have a year to figure out how to violate our consciences,” said Cardinal-designate Timothy M. Dolan, archbishop of New York and president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Dolan added, “To force American citizens to choose between violating their consciences and forgoing their healthcare is literally unconscionable. It is as much an attack on access to health care as on religious freedom. Historically this represents a challenge and a compromise of our religious liberty.”

I’m always looking for new Walid Shoebat videos because I always learn something new from him. In this video, he goes back and explains what really happened in Egypt with regard to their so-called ‘secular revolution’ and then ties it into his explanation of the ‘Muruna’ strategy in Islam. What’s interesting about it, other than it’s definition, is who created this ‘doctrine of balance’ and where we’ve recently seen him.
Here’s the full video clip:

Peruvian authorities have revealed a plan created with the help of international pro-abortion groups, which would legalize abortion by 2017, apparently require couples to obtain a government license to have children, and implement nationwide “sexual diversity” education through every organ of the government.
The National Plan for Gender Equality was recently revealed to the public by feminists within the administration of President Ollanta Humala, who were apparently concerned that his new women’s minister might nix the plan following the ouster of the far-left minister who oversaw the creation of the document.

The international Left’s embrace of the likes of Hamas, the Taliban, Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood has increased leftist and isolationist American policy-makers’ comfort level in adopting hostile postures towards Israel. So it is that at the same time that the Obama administration is assiduously courting the Taliban, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Iranian regime, according to Channel 2, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has refused to meet with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman during his upcoming trip to Washington. Channel 2 reported that senior US officials said that “Lieberman is an obstacle to peace. We don’t want our pictures taken with him and with what he represents.”
Anti-Semitism is prejudice that is based on a rejection of reason. To fight it, it is not sufficient to disprove the contentions of the likes of Mearsheimer. He and his colleagues must be discredited and their enablers must be shamed.
But before this can happen, world Jewry and Israelis alike need to recognize what is happening.
Anti-Semitism is back in style. Its new justification is not race or religion. It is nationalism. Today’s anti-Semitism is predicated on preferring Palestinian and pan-Arab nationalism to Jewish nationalism.
And like its racist and religious predecessors, its aim is to deny the right of Jews to be free.
The left has always been the source of antisemitism but it is important to understand that even nazism was a left-wing ideological movement, it was never right-wing.
The Ex Factor: Romney gets a break from Ging Gingrich’s former wife. But why has she changed her story?
This is what is happening all over Europe and will happen here if the Muslim population is allowed to grow further in the USA. Facts are stubborn things that Liberals like to ignore or label as “racist” when they cannot refute them.
Dutch queen clashes with her country’s anti-Muslim party after she wears headscarf on visit to Oman mosque
Here is a comment from a reader:
Yes, it would be interesting to insist their dignatories [sic] visit a cathedral. I know what the reaction would be, because I have seen it with my own eyes, but I shall let you all guess the result. Again, religious respect should be a two-way street — no more mosque visits until the visits are reciprocated in a cathedral.

What do the administrators at the University of Pennsylvania know about the 2012 National Conference of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement about to take place at Penn and when did they know it?
“BDS,” as this virulent anti-Israeli hatefest is commonly called, is coming to the Penn campus on February 3-5, but university officials have hid from the implications of hosting such an event. They say that the university is on record as not supporting this movement, yet they let the event go forward, providing space and possibly funding, despite the fact that the sponsors may not meet school requirements as a recognized group and that their anti-Semitic message is deeply hostile to academic freedom and basic human decency. The university appears to be bending rules that would be rigidly enforced for sponsors of another cause.

When the Costa Concordia cruise liner struck rocks and careened onto its side off the coast of Tuscany, passengers and press alike compared the modern maritime disaster to the sinking of the Titanic.
The comparison has proven unflattering to the captain, crew, and male passengers aboard the Costa Concordia, who in many cases shoved past women — including expectant mothers — and children to save their own sorry skins.
A grandmother recalled for the Daily Mail, “I was standing by the lifeboats and men, big men, were banging into me and knocking the girls.” “Whatever happened to women and children first?” the newspaper queried. What indeed?

I know this interview runs 23 minutes, but it’s worth watching in totality. Allen West is one of the greatest thinkers we have in Congress when it comes to dealing with foreign policy problems like Iran and the greater Middle East.
With regard to Iran, he believes we at a modern day Chamberlin/Churchill moment with Iran and are nearing the point where diplomacy will reach its end and we must be forthright about the use of ‘kinetic solutions’.
