CAIR Intimidates Lowes DIY Store Chain

WALID SHOEBAT:

Council for American Islamic Relations CAIR has called on its main stream media rat allies to attack Lowes and got WXYZ in Detroit to do their dirty work. The segment literally called its viewers to petition against the company. When you watch the media piece from WXYZ Michigan you can see just how biased it is. No interview is conducted with the company, nor people who agree with the company or any twitters that are for the position of the company. The only thing that is reported is the position of CAIR period. It smells of a journalist who is bought and paid for by CAIR. CAIR themselves boast that they have many in the media bought and paid for, so this is no surprise.

When the program in question “Muslims in America” on TLC at 9 pm on Sunday night was first aired, we exposed the Imam Hushan Al-Husainy who was featured several times on the program; back in 2007 on the Sean Hannity Radio show exposed this Imam as a supporter of terror when on repeated occasions was asked by Sean to condemn Hezbollah and Hamas but would not do so as well as doing everything to evade the question. You can watch and listen to the interviews that were featured in 2007. http://www.shoebat.com/videos/americanMuslims.html

Please write to WXYZ Detroit and accuse them of being bought and paid for by CAIR pointing out the issues above.

Home-Schoolers Shall Rule the World

By Nathan Harden:

Or else, they shall at least understand those who did so in the past. At the Corner, Hans A. von Spakovsky explains how his home-schooled nephew was writing insightful commentaries on Plutarch’s Lives by age 15. How many public-high-school students are doing that? How many college students for that matter?

Middle East: We’re Going to Have a Revolution and We Can Do it the Hard Way or the Easy Way

by Barry Rubin:

“Along the Paris streets the death-carts rumble, hollow and harsh. Six tumbrils carry the day’s wine to La Guillotine. All the devouring and insatiate Monsters imagined since imagination could record itself, are fused in the…Guillotine.” – Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

Do I have to draw you a picture of how Islamism is just pretending to be moderate and plans to fundamentally transform the society in countries like Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Turkey? Well, I’ll let the most respected Muslim Brotherhood theologian, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, do it for me.

Let me underline that when Qaradawi answers a query, millions of people listen. Egyptian military officers and their families watch his show raptly and so do many others. And Qaradawi isn’t just talking for the sake of talking — he is teaching the revolutionary strategy of seizing all power for all time and imposing all of the Sharia on all of the people. Qaradawi is Lenin in a turban, as was Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who did a little number on Iranian politics after the same people who are telling us now that the Brotherhood is moderate were telling us then that the Iranian Islamists were moderate.

If only government officials, journalists, and “experts” would read and comprehend things like this, they might understand what’s happening in the Middle East and how their policy is headed for disaster.

US units exiting Iraq deployed in Jordan to forestall Syrian attack

DEBKAfile:

As the US completes its final withdrawal from Iraq, American special forces troops have been diverted to positions in Jordan opposite a Syrian tank concentration building up across the kingdom’s northern border, debkafile’s military and intelligence sources report.

As of last Thursday, as of last Thursday Dec. 8, military convoys, air transports and helicopters have been lifting US troops across the border from Iraq. They have been deployed in position to ward off a possible Syrian invasion in the light of President Bashar Assad’s warning that he would set the entire Middle East on fire if the pressure on his regime to step down persisted.

Syria’s other neighbors have taken precautions against this contingency but this is the first time US boots have hit the ground directly opposite Assad’s army.

The incoming US contingents are disclosed by our sources as having been housed at the King Hussein Air Base of al-Mafraq, 10 kilometers from the Syrian border. US troops were sighted Monday, Dec. 12, building surveillance towers and army posts in the Jordanian villages of Albaej, Zubaydiah and al-Nahdah al-Houshah as well as near the Sarham dam of the Yarmoukh River which runs down the international border between Syria and Jordan.

Five killed ‘including 18-month-old girl’ and 123 hurt as career criminal hurls grenades into Christmas shoppers in Belgian city of Liege

By Daily Mail Reporter:

Nordine Amrani was a career criminal who was recently released from prison early for keeping an ‘arsenal’ of weapons in his cramped council flat, it emerged tonight.

The revelation will lead to critics of Belgium’s notoriously liberal criminal justice system questioning why he had been allowed back on the streets.

‘This guy was weapons-mad,’ said a police source. ‘He knew his weapons inside out, and was always tinkering with them at home.

‘He came straight out of prison, got hold of more guns and hand-grenades, and went on the rampage.’

Amrani was sentenced to just under five years in prison in September 2008 for keeping 10 complete firearms, and an astonishing 9500 gun parts in his flat, along with 2800 cannabis plants nearby.

Yet, just over three years later, he had been released and left unsupervised, allowing him to build up another arsenal.

Neighbours on Amrani’s estate in the suburb of Leige would often see him driving around in a white van – a vehicle which was found near the spot where he died.

The police source said Amrani’s rucksack was ‘full of grenades’, with many remaining unused after he pulled the pins out of just three.

The source said Amrani, who came from a North African immigrant background, also had convictions for drug dealing, handling stolen goods and sex abuse.

Chained and in tears: Children found in basement as police raid Islamic school thought to be a ‘Taliban training centre’

By Damien Gayle:

Forty-five students, among them young children, were discovered held in chains in a basement when police raided an Islamic seminary in Pakistan last night.

The male students, some said to be as young as 12 but appearing even younger, were found in what amounted to a dungeon at the Madrassa Zakarya in the Sohrab Goth district of Karachi.

Led barefoot from their prison, captives told officers they had suffered regular beatings and been hung upside down as a form of punishment.

Obama, foreign policy, and national survival

Jerry Philipson:

The most basic, fundamental purpose of any nation’s foreign policy is national survival, keeping the nation alive and functioning in the face of external threats to its existence. National survival is really what foreign policy is all about for any country, and that is doubly so for countries like the United States which face large numbers of enemies who would destroy them in a heartbeat if they could. Iran, North Korea, China, Russia and any number of other nations would have no qualms about wiping the U.S. off the map if it were possible, not to mention the legions of individual Islamists and Islamist organizations around the world who would do the same, some of whom are state-sponsored and some of whom act on their own.

Such a possibility becomes more possible every day because Obama’s totally inept foreign policy has been an utter failure and the United States has become much more vulnerable and open to attack since he took office as a result. In fact, attacks are a foregone conclusion as long as he’s in office, not only against U.S. interests abroad but against the American homeland itself as well.

Collective Punishment Under Islam

by Raymond Ibrahim:

During a recent altercation in Egypt, a Christian inadvertently killed a Muslim. This incident, according to an AINA report, “turned into collective punishment of all Copts in the majority Christian village.” Two Christians “not party to the altercation” were killed; others were stabbed and critically wounded. As usual, “after killing the Copts, Muslims went on a rampage, looting and burning Christian owned homes and businesses.”

Despite all this, “Muslims insist they have not yet avenged” the death of their slain co-religionist; there are fears of “a wholesale massacre of Copts.” Many Christians have fled their homes or are in hiding.

Collectively punishing dhimmis—non-Muslims who refused to convert after their lands were seized by Muslims, and who are treated as “second-class” infidels—for the crimes of the individual is standard under Islam. In this instance, dhimmis are forbidden from striking—let alone killing—Muslims, even if the latter perpetrate the conflict. Prior to the fight that killed him, the Muslim in question had, through the help of radical Salafis, burned down the Christian’s home and was threatening him over a property dispute. Still, non-Muslims are forbidden to raise their hands to Muslims, even in self defense.

Hamas Bases in Sinai?

by P. David Hornik:

The Jerusalem Post’s highly credible military correspondent Yaakov Katz reports this week that Hamas has set up bases and rocket-production facilities in Sinai so as to prevent Israel from bombing them from the air. Israel still has a peace treaty with Egypt—still nominally sovereign over Sinai—and is anxious to preserve a modicum of decent relations even as Egypt slides toward Islamism. An air force raid on Egyptian territory would, of course, not be the best way to do that.

The Overbearing Price for the EU Deal

by Peter Martino:

No, the euro was not saved at last week’s summit meeting of the European leaders in Brussels. “We will not get a second chance to save the euro,” French President Nicolas Sarkozy warned dramatically on the eve of last week’s summit. Saving the euro, however, was not Sarkozy’s chief concern. His concern was that enough time be bought until May 6, 2012, when he is seeking reelection.

Canada pulls out of Kyoto treaty

by Ed Morrissey:

How big a deal is this, really? Yes, Canada became the first country to formally withdraw from the Kyoto Protocol, dealing a body blow to the anthropogenic climate-change hysterics movement. However, it’s not as if the rest of the countries that signed it have been successful in implementing it. In fact, the US achieved a real decline in carbon emissions during the Bush administration while simultaneously growing the economy, while Europe created a false decline by repeatedly revising the baseline for its formula.

Not coincidentally, two of the reasons Canada has decided to abandon Kyoto is its futility and the desire in Canada to grow the economy:
