Canada’s poor productivity costs each of us $7,500: Report

Every Canadian would have $7,500 more in disposable income if the country’s productivity rate had kept pace with that of the U.S. in the past two decades, according to a new study by a leading think tank.
Canadians would be wealthier, corporate profits higher and the government would have raked in billions in extra income, the Conference Board of Canada said in a report looking at the impact of the country’s sluggish rate of productivity.
