THE BLACK KETTLE

Two Sikhs and Eleven Somalis Beheaded

Walid Shoebat:

News reports of major beheadings by Muslims (the followers of the “peaceful religion”) in India and Somalia. The Bible predicts that the issues and problems concerning persecution of non Muslims will get many times worse before the Messiah will come to straighten out the mess. The Bible also commands the righteous to provide food, shelter and sanctuary. The is the test of righteous as G-d judges those in the end, please. our Christian brothers and sisters please refer to Mathew 25: 31-46. The persecution in Pakistan of Christians is intensifying and we are stepping up our work in this area. We greatly appreciate the donations for this work. Please if you are in a position to give a small monthly gift when multiplied by hundreds and thousands of people we can help many families.

I received this email from our man in Pakistan “RW2″ concerning one case history, this explains so clearly what many Christian families are going through not just in Pakistan but all over the Muslim world where there is a Christian minority. The Muslim world has already cleansed itself of Jews so it is now the turn of the Sunday people the Christians, please read this disturbing report.

Concerning Emanuel family; Mr. Keith they are in Safe-Home now, however after the assassination of Rashid Emmanuel and Sajid Emmanuel, the family has gone through very hard time. Their home was burned by the extremists; even the local Christians of the Colony were not willing to provide the shelter because of the threats of the radical Muslims as it was announced from the different mosques of the Faisalabad and Gojar city that whoever provides them shelter shall be burned along with his family.

Due to these threats the family was living in the small village with fake identifications, and now when we have relocated them in ……. city still they are full of fear from the radical extremists. It will take some time to get them out of fear from the society. Currently they don’t want to use their CNIC cards as they thing they will be relocated from their National identification card. For some short time we can appoint any supervisor for them or I myself will be dealing with the family if you like.
Blessings
RW2

Losing Malmo: And Brussels, and Rome, and Amsterdam . . .

Andrew C. McCarthy:

Do you remember the jihadist terror campaign that ravaged Malmo, Sweden’s third largest city? Do you recall the bombings, the suicide-hijackings, and the random assassinations that finally coerced the city to surrender to Islamization?

No? Funny, I don’t remember them either. Yet there is no question that Malmo has surrendered. Large enclaves of the city, like similar enclaves throughout Western Europe, have earned the dread label “no-go zone.” They are unsafe for non-Muslims, particularly women who do not conform to Islamist conventions of dress and social interaction. They are especially perilous for police, firefighters, and emergency-medical technicians.

Why would a community discourage the so-called first-responders? After all, the top priority of law-enforcement officers is to assist crime victims. In an Islamic enclave, a high percentage of these will be Muslims. And obviously, the fire department and the ambulances are dispatched to save lives — here, Muslim lives. Yet, the community is hostile. The police and other emergency personnel are viewed as agents of the non-Muslim state. Their presumptuousness in entering the Islamic enclave and acting under the color of Swedish law is taken as an affront to Islamic sovereignty.

An Islamic enclave in the West may as well be the West Bank, and the authorities the IDF. They are regarded no differently.

Faith questions for Keith Ellison

by Scott Johnson:

[...]

6. Do you believe that Islamic law should be the law of the land in the United States? Do you think Islam should be subordinate to the constitutional separation between church and state?

7. You are a liberal Democrat who advocates the Democratic Party’s positions on gay rights, abortion, and feminism. Which branch of Islam comports with your position on these issues?

Report: Gibson Competitor is Dem Donor; Uses Same Wood, Experienced No Federal Raids

by John Nolte:

Via Andrew Lawton at Landmark Report:

One of Gibson’s leading competitors is C.F. Martin & Company. The C.E.O., Chris Martin IV, is a long-time Democratic supporter, with $35,400 in contributions to Democratic candidates and the DNC over the past couple of elections (though, to be fair, he did donate a whopping $750 to Republican Congressmen in the 90s.) According to C.F. Martin’s catalog, several of their guitars contain “East Indian Rosewood.” In case you were wondering, that is the exact same wood in at least ten of Gibson’s guitars.

Video: The ugly protest at Wisconsin’s Messmer Catholic School over Walker visit

by Ed Morrissey:

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker visited Messmer Preparatory Catholic School yesterday, while the school repaired the first vandalism that had occurred at the facility in eleven years of operation. While Walker read Dr. Seuss to the grade-school children inside, unions protested the visit and the school outside. Want to guess which group was more well-behaved? Actually, you don’t have to guess. The MacIver Institute shot video of the protest and the visit and then interviewed Messmer’s President, Brother Bob Smith. We see childishness, petulance, and bullying — and then we see Messmer’s students (via Wisconsin Reporter):

Cross The Border, Lose Your Bentley; The Lacey Act Applies To Automobiles, Too

By Jack Baruth:

The music world is going nuts over the Federal Government’s second major raid of Gibson Guitars in just two years. Agents stopped production at Gibson’s facilities and confiscated massive quantities of wood, unfinished guitars, and finished products. This article covers the basics, including Gibson owner Henry Juszkiewicz’s decision to defy the federal government and continue shipping finished guitars to retailers after the raid.

Why would the government use armed agents to attack one of the few major manufacturers of anything remaining in the United States? The political motivations for such an action are outside the scope of this article, but the justification for the action is the Lacey Act, which regulates the importation of plants, animals, and products thereof into the United States. The Lacey Act effectively permits wooden musical instruments to be seized indefinitely, without compensation, and places the burden of proof on the owner, not the government. Do you own an $11,000 2011 Gibson Eric Clapton Edition Les Paul? Want to take it to Canada and back? You’d better be prepared to document the source of all materials to the government’s satisfaction upon your return, or you could lose it indefinitely. If you thinking documenting that is tough, what if you’re ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons returning from an overseas tour with your real 1959 sunburst Les Paul, for which you’ve already turned down at least one $5,000,000 offer? Good luck documenting the wood from a fifty-two-year-old guitar.

Testing the limits of civil discourse (and politeness)

Christie Blatchford, National Post:

‘Ahhhh,” my friend Mary said cheerily early one morning this week around the kitchen table where a bunch of us have coffee before our run, “CancerAids.”

I’d been telling the group about the deluge of ghastly email I’ve been receiving about a recent column, and was in mid-description of same when Mary interrupted.

“CancerAids?” the rest of us chorused.

She explained that in the online world with which she is more intimately familiar than the rest of us (she is the hippest of the group), the term is a shorthand dismissal for a troll, a provocateur who writes simply to annoy others or is so manifestly dopey he’s not worth the bother of more time-consuming abuse.

In other words, instead of drearily having to bang out the likes of “What a jerk/why are you saying this/go back to your cave/how stupid are you/I hate you,” you write CancerAids: It is the fate you hope befalls the object of your derision, and by abbreviating your remarks, I suppose, you add an extra measure of scorn.

None of my recent correspondents used the convenient shorthand, alas.

They preferred the oldschool long form, often beginning with detailed descriptions of my admitted physical shortcomings: “You even look like a troll”; “old and worn”; “Never have I seen the ugliness of a person’s soul reflected in a person’s looks as I have in you”; “those glasses are ugly”; “fat cow bitch”, etc.

Many were obscene, the epithet of choice the four-letter C word. Astonishing to me, most of the half-dozen folks who invoked this one used it in the subject line (“You Are a C—”) and had addresses that appeared to contain real names.

No Bikinis Allowed In Wake Of Obama’s Wars?

by AWR Hawkins:

As of right now, the Arab Spring has lasted for more than eight months. Marked by protests throughout the Middle East, to the point of overthrowing governments in some cases, these months have changed the makeup of the Middle East for good, in some cases, and for ill, in others. (This variation in outcomes is largely due to the fact that some parts of the Arab Spring have been uprisings led by people hungry for freedom and others have been led by people hungry for control.)

The problem we face, as Americans, is that our president seems uninterested in parsing these variations, and has therefore aided groups like the Muslim Brotherhood without a second thought (albeit perhaps indirectly). This, in turn, has ushered in new governments that talk openly of framing their constitutions by the principles of Sharia, thereby constraining the freedoms of their citizenry.

Cass Sunstein defends new regulations with ‘lives saved and illnesses avoided’ mythology

Phil Boehmke:

During the first 100 days of our nation’s downward spiral into oblivion (commonly known as the Obama administration) the Democrat controlled congress rammed a massive party loyalty rewards program (commonly known as the stimulus bill or American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) down the throats of the hard-working American taxpayers. The $787 billion dollar fiasco didn’t stimulate the economy in any measurable sense however a clever new accounting trick (jobs saved or created) was developed to prove the success of Mr. Obama’s first major assault on America.

The Soros-supported Center for American Progress blames rich Jews for stoking Islamophobia

Ed Lasky

The Obama-allied Center for American Progress has released a report that blames Islamophobia in America on a small group of Jews and Israel supporters in America, whose views are being backed by millions of dollars. This “network”, according to the news release, have “have worked hard to push narratives that Obama might be a Muslim, that mosques are incubators of radicalization, and that “radical Islam” has infiltrated all aspects of American society — including the conservative movement.

Who are the figures mentioned as the promoters of prejudice? Most of them are prominent Jews and supporters of Israel, such as David Horowitz, Daniel Pipes and Steven Emerson (the founder of the Investigative Project on Terrorism). The eight foundations mentioned as funding this effort include are almost exclusively ones founded and funded by Jewish donors, and lest readers not be aware of this fact, the Center for American Progress lists not only the other beneficiaries of the charities and foundations (most of them having Jewish or Israel in the title) but also goes to the trouble of naming the individuals behind these charities — not just the donors but also those who serve on the boards.

Why include this additional information except to highlight that Jewish people are behind this effort to “defame” Muslims? By “outing” the people involved, the report puts endangers them. Furthermore, this “report” relies on the conspiracy and age-old anti-Semitic trope that Jews fan prejudice towards others and promotes divisions for their own nefarious purposes (to support Israel in this case). This mindset is straight out of Mein Kampf.

The report also stokes the view that rich Jews operate behind the scenes and use their wealth to control the media and government policy (politicians are also mentioned as being ensnared in this web).

The scorpions sting – again

By SARAH HONIG:

Conventional wisdom contends that neither Gaza nor Cairo harbors much interest in fanning terrorist flames and disrupting the uneasy truce that has precariously prevailed since Operation Cast Lead. Egypt, an unsteady step away from uncontainable internal chaos, prodigiously presents Cairo’s caretaker military junta with other preoccupations. Simultaneously Hamas surely doesn’t relish another punishment of the magnitude inflicted upon it in 2008.

This makes ample sense – on our wavelength. Cerebral processes in the Arab realm, however, don’t necessarily conform to our rationale. They practically never do.

Israelis shocked by last week’s roadside massacre outside Eilat and by the ensuing rocket barrages from Hamastan fall prey to excessively non-Levantine logical assumptions. They fail to understand that our concepts of levelheadedness don’t apply in neighboring latifundia.

Nobody has any business being the least bit taken aback. Porous borders that allow African economic migrants to infiltrate illegally, and drugs to be smuggled routinely, also invite enemy attacks. The Egyptians were never motivated to guard the frontier and are far less so now, as the repeated explosions on the gas pipeline to Israel attest.

Neither the Egyptians nor the Gazans have changed. They only occasionally resort to expedient chatter in the Western idiom, which suffices to make them sound trustworthy – as trustworthy as the scorpion in the fable attributed to old Aesop.
