Muslims Slaughter Over 1,000 in Ivory Coast Massacre

Pam Gellar:

I have warned of the coming Islamic takeover in the Ivory Coast. Back on January 4, I reported an Islamic takeover of the Ivory Coast. And the French (and the UN, US, and Europe) were helping them. The reportage on the Ivory Coast election has been biased and pro-jihad. The Ivory Coast joins the ummah.

January 4: We are witnessing one of those watershed moments in history: Ivory Coast is about to toggle from a (mostly) Christian country to a Muslim country. The winner of the election is a Muslim — the head of the Muslim rebel forces in the north of the country — and the loser is a non-Muslim. Ivory Coast is on the verge of officially joining the Ummah.

America’s Marxist Media

by David B. Jenkins:

How did the mainstream media get to be the way they are? To find the answer, let’s turn to an old source.

Helen MacInnes was a Scottish-born novelist whose writing career spanned nearly four and a half decades. Most of her 21 novels dealt with the struggle against totalitarianism. During World War II, she wrote stirring novels of the fight against Nazi Germany. After the conclusion of that war, while other writers were busily plotting stories of the threat of a reincarnated Nazism, she was among the first to understand that communism, with its subversive hooks already well set in the upper levels of many governments, including ours, represented a far greater threat to human freedom.

In her 1951 book Neither Five nor Three, she uses her writer’s skills masterfully to create a gripping and entertaining story that is at the same time a chilling description of the methods the left used to take almost complete control of a once-noble institution: the American media. By undermining, discrediting, and marginalizing honest reporters, writers, and editors, the left gradually replaced them with people who would oh-so-subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) parrot the Party line.

When did the subversion process begin? It probably began with the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917 and was certainly well underway in the 1930s.

Kingdom of Lies

by Victor Davis Hanson:

I am a subject in a kingdom of lies. At 57, I have grown up with decades of untruth — advanced for the purposes of purported social unity, the noble aim of egalitarianism, and the advancement of a cognitive elite in government, journalism, the arts, and the universities.

The media is our ministry of truth of the Oceania brand: one day Guantanamo, renditions, tribunals, preventive detention, Predators, the Patriot Act, and Iraq were bad; then one day in January 2009 I woke up and heard of them not all. I then recognized that they were now either good or at least necessary — or perhaps sinister IEDs of a sort left behind by the nefarious Emmanuel Goldstein administration, now too dangerous to even touch.

Obama’s hidden agenda in the Middle East

By Jerry Philipson:

Obama’s hidden agenda in the Middle East is to weaken Israel to the point where it ceases to exist as a sovereign Jewish state, either because it loses a war to one or more of its neighbors and is conquered and destroyed or because it suffers the death of a thousand cuts, is overwhelmed by Palestinians and lose its character as a Jewish country. Being an Islamist, albeit a closet one, that is more important to him than anything, including the national security of the United States.

Obama’s animus towards Israel is well known and substantiated by his actions…everything he has done pertaining to the Middle East since he took office has had that agenda first and foremost in his mind. Syria is aiding and abetting him in a wide variety of ways and there is no reason for him to intervene. It could even be counterproductive. He wants the regime to stay in power so that its de facto war against Israel can continue. That might not happen if Assad was overthrown, at least on the same level anyway. Syria under Assad is a mortal enemy of Israel and carrying out all kinds of activities to bring her down and Obama wants to keep it that way. He might not be so lucky with Assad’s successor and knows it.

That is also why he won’t intervene in Iran or Saudi Arabia either.

Conservative Harper attacked right from pulpit of Catholic Church today

Judi McLeod:

Talking Peace and Social Justice, the far left Development and Peace representing other leftist groups came to Catholic Church in Canada today, elbowing the Gospel of Jesus Christ aside for a full-tilt campaign speech for the Coalition Opposition.

In the last message heard before the final blessing was given, parishioners were told to “get on their computers” to spread the word that the Conservative Government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper is forcing Canada into the European Union.

The Organization of the Islamic Conference Propaganda Machine

By Camie Davis:

Pavlov had a dog. The Organization of the Islamic Conference has the United Nations and President Obama.

The OIC, the largest voting bloc at the UN, has an agenda. Their agenda is a one-two punch. First, don’t say anything negative about Islam. Second, blame all of the world’s problems on Israel, specifically the Jewish communities called “settlements.” The UN’s and Obama’s conditional responses to all things Islam and Israel are helping throw the OIC’s one-two punch at the world hard and fast.

For over a decade, the OIC has systematically worked to criminalize the “defamation of Islam” and to protect Islam from “blasphemy.” In yearly resolutions at the UN on “combating defamation of religions” the OIC complains “Islam is frequently and wrongly associated with human rights violations and terrorism.” Though the resolutions are touted as protecting all religions, there is only one religion mentioned by name. You guessed it. Islam.

George Soros’ New Plan for Global Financial Regulation

by Arlen Williams:

What would you think if George Soros were organizing his fellow anti-American, globalist, neo-Marxist “thought leaders,” in pursuit of globally governed banking and finance, in a second Bretton Woods conference?

Would you consider that their goals include dragging American influence and incomes down, while confiscating much of our personal finances and giving them to other nations (and yes, the age-old financier network behind them) in the name of “communitarianism?”

Would you find their goal is to replace the bad influences of the IMF and the World Bank, with a much worse, more powerfully controlling, post-American global apparatus?

What would you think, if that meeting were being held this April 8th through 11th?

Is There a New Antisemitism?

By Richard Baehr:

Is there now a new antisemitism, a more modern version of the world oldest hatred? Is it linked primarily to the hatred of Israel? If there were no Israel, would antisemitism recede again or disappear? Or is hatred of Israel a mask for the more routine hatred of Jews that has existed for two thousand years, now with a more politically acceptable political agenda as its face, instead of simple bigotry?

Barack Obama’s favor to George Soros

editor’s note:

Ed Lasky, American Thinker’s News Editor, has an op-ed in today’s Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on a favor the Obama administration has given to InterOil, a foreign oil company that is a major holding of George Soros’s hedge fund.

The column is based on an earlier American Thinker column that outlines how our government is spending our tax dollars to help develop the oil and gas resources of Papua New Guinea, where InterOil has the vast bulk of its assets.

A sample from the PTR column:

Pessimistic about 2012? Please

by Kyle-Anne Shiver:

To question Barack Obama’s ideology and its foundational roots is a virtue, one that we Americans once held in very high esteem. It’s called intellectual curiosity. And for Mr. Will’s benefit, it should be noted that only the dimmest bulbs in the basement would fail to remain curious about Barack Obama. This man has been covered for by more “journalists” than any guy since Stalin.

Barack Obama is the guy who sat in a racist pastor’s church for more than 20 years as an adult and was allowed by a conspiring press to put it all to rest with a tidy little speech, which put more blame on his “typical white person” grandmother than on himself. Barack Obama is the man who was allowed to wave off a long association with unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers with nothing more than a wink and a nod. Barack Obama is the man who has yet to release a single transcript which might lend a shred of credence to all those brilliant-beyond-brilliant claims. Barack Obama is the man who inspired banana-republic iconography and indulged in it himself, without a single cry of “weird” from the erstwhile punditry.

But Mr. Will really left me scratching my head in wonder as he claimed that America’s “sensible voters,” who don’t pay much attention this time of year to politics, would be turned off by the likes of Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee casting aspersions on the background of President Barack Obama. “Sensible voters,” Mr. Will? Do you mean the kind of fawning, Barack-the-vote voting nincompoops who elected Mr. Almost-like-God as president?

Oh, please. What is this country coming to?
