Obama’s Crushing Failure in the Middle East: the Fall of Lebanon to Islam
Pam Gellar:
It seems another era when freedom was on the march in Lebanon. Who can forget the Cedar revolution, a thrilling historical moment for freedom lovers in the Middle East and across the world.
Here was the very visible result of the power of the force for good in the world. Obama is extinguishing our hegemony with frightening speed. The left hated Bush and his quest to spread political freedom. What exactly is it that they love?

Van Jones: Environmentalism is Really All About Social Justice [Marxism]
by Eyeblast TV, BG:
Van Jones is the gift that just keeps on giving. The Van Joneses, Ezra Kleins, and other all too honest liberals just can’t help but completely affirm everything that conservatives have been saying about the left for years. In this case Van Jones might as well have gotten “Glenn Beck is right about social justice” tattooed across his forehead before giving this speech:

Obama “Invests” America Into Oblivion
by Jason Mattera:
The left uses the word “investment” each time they’re after your wallet. In fact, Obama sold the failed “stimulus” plan as a package of… investments!
Seriously.
Before he signed the inaptly named “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act,” Obama called it “an investment that will create jobs building 21st-Century classrooms and libraries and labs for millions of children across America.”
He also dubbed the spending measure as “an investment that takes the important first step towards a national transmission superhighway,” while also claiming that “nearly 400,000 men and women will go to work rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges” via the stimulus’s “investment.”
In total, Obama blurted out the word “investment” 20 times at the signing of the stimulus.
And now he wants more.

That Disdain for Palin
By Christopher Chantrill:
Now that the left’s McCarthyite attack on Sarah Palin has subsided, she merely has to suffer the disdain of the intellectual elite. Even James Taranto, admitted high-school dropout, damns her with faint praise.
This is nothing new. The nostrils of the educated class have always twitched at populist conservative candidates for president. Voters of a certain age will remember the disdain for Candidate Ronald Reagan.

Once you realise Washington’s political class [left and right] is a club you will understand the dynamics at work to marginalise and eliminate the Palins, Bachmans and Wests.
The enormity of 52 million abortions in US since Roe
Dan Austin:
We may be unable to understand the enormity of 52 million abortions in the U.S. since Roe vs. Wade. Big numbers like 52 million are hard to comprehend without a frame of reference. This should help.
Imagine 52 million babies, now grown to adulthood, standing in a line with their arms extended at shoulder height. Each person in the line is touching the person on the left and right at their fingertips. How long would the human chain be?
You could actually make the following three human chains with 52 million people. The first human chain could extend completely around the earth at the equator (24,901 miles). The second human chain could extend completely around the earth through the poles (24,859 miles). The third human chain could extend from Anchorage, Alaska to Miami, Florida (4001 miles) with enough people left over to extend 406 miles off the coast of Florida. The total distance covered by the three human chains would be 54,167 miles.

Encroaching Socialism
The View from 1776:
President Obama’s rhetoric about reviewing government regulations and taking measures to foster America’s economic competitiveness reflects either ignorance or hypocrisy.
Business is competitive only when businesses are allowed to compete. Government regulation is aimed expressly at curbing free-market competition.
Such regulation is nothing less than steadily encroaching socialism.
Liberal-progressives since the 1930s – notably historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., – have propagandized the canard that President Roosevelt’s New Deal was only “saving capitalism” from itself. The capitalist system, according to Schlesinger and to Keynesian economists such Harvard’s Alvin Hansen, had failed with the 1929 crash that inaugurated the Great Depression of the 1930s.

On Anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Obama Corrupts Political Language
Peter Wehner:
On the 38th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s pro-choice decision in Roe v. Wade, President Obama said in a statement that Roe “affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters.”
To which one might ask: since when is lethal violence used on the defenseless and the most vulnerable members of our society considered an intrusion on “private family matters”?
This line of argument is absurd. Would the president argue that our laws should be silent on matters of spousal and child abuse? After all, based on the Obama Criterion, those, too, might qualify as “private family matters.”
The president’s statement that abortion on demand affirms a “fundamental principle” is evidence of a man who is willing to corrupt the English language in order to advance an ideological agenda — and in this instance, a particularly vicious and brutal agenda.

Progressives Seek To Deflect From Frances Fox Piven Remarks By Calling Glenn Beck Anti-Semitic
by Dana Loesch:
I love when progressives who’ve stood against Israeli settlements and “zionists” suddenly find compassion for Jewish people, even if it’s manufactured compassion to feign straw man outrage at conservatives. Baby steps!
While watching this interview with Frances Fox Piven posted below, I momentarily missed Olbermann. Sure, he was a far-left partisan, but he was an entertaining broadcaster, something from which his socialist views cannot detract.
Here is MSNBC sub Cenk Uygur in a bizarre interview with Piven right after he tries to make Glenn Beck out to be anti-semitic because some of the people he criticizes are or may be Jewish:

circumcision: A painless, live-saving surgery
Barbara Kay:
In 1970, some 97% of American males, and about 70% of Canadian males were circumcised. Those numbers have fallen dramatically, thanks in large part to ardent activism by anti-circumcision “rights” groups.
Jackson Doughart believes that the Canadian government should pass legislation that would prevent religious leaders and health-care legislators from performing or authorizing the ritual circumcisions of newborn children. He bases his argument on two often-adduced moral grounds: that the circumcision of infants violates their human rights, because they cannot give informed consent to the procedure, and that male circumcision is a “mutilation,” comparable to female genital mutilation (FGM), already outlawed.

The Palestinian Authority: Hypocricy, Lies and Double Talk
by Khaled Abu Toameh:
Documents revealed by Al-Jazeera, the popular and influential Qatari-owned TV network, have reconfirmed the widely believed perception that the Palestinian Authority speaks in more than one voice.
These documents expose the Palestinian leadership’s double standards and hypocrisy. They show that the Palestinian Authority, headed by Mahmoud Abbas, has not been telling Palestinians the truth about the peace process.
According to the documents, Palestinian negotiators went as far as ceding control over almost the entire area of east Jerusalem. This position contradicts the Palestinian Authority’s public position, namely that it would not agree to any concessions on east Jerusalem, which it insists must become the future capital of a Palestinian state.

The prophetic truth of the birth certificate issue
The interview was going well up to that point. And it was there that I lost out. The more I answered their pointed questions, the more I realized that there was a unification within the conservative circles in Washington, DC against pursuing the eligibility requirement of the presidency. They tried to pass it off as rumor. When I spoke of straightforward documentation, they passed that off as not credible. When I spoke of reliable sources in Kenya who visited villages and gathered information, they said it was chasing after rainbows. It was clear that by the end of the interview, I not only would not get the job, but that the conservative elite inside the beltway were never going to pursue the birth certificate issue.

Canada’s right to deny Emirates more airport landing slots
By EZRA LEVANT:
Benito Mussolini, the Italian dictator during the Second World War, is called a fascist but an equally accurate label is “corporatist.”
Private corporations were allowed to operate, but Mussolini had control over them. It was a partnership between the government and everyone else, and Mussolini was the senior partner.
For a while, Mussolini’s corporatist dictatorship dazzled the world with its achievements. When North America languished in the Depression, Italy built the world’s fastest cruise ship and fastest sea plane and massive public works projects. Admirers said he “made the trains run on time.”
So, pretty much like today’s United Arab Emirates.
The UAE is a dictatorship. But it allows companies to operate, often with a member of the royal family involved.
Unlike Mussolini, the UAE has two huge sources of wealth. It’s an OPEC nation with enormous oil reserves. And though it only has a million citizens, four million temporary foreign labourers do all the work, with low pay and few civil rights.
