Sweden won’t decry Aftonbladet article
Herb Keinon THE JERUSALEM POST:
The Israeli-Swedish ping-pong over an offensive article in the Swedish Aftonbladet daily continued over the weekend, with Jerusalem calling for a Swedish government condemnation of the article, and Stockholm pointedly refusing to do so.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s National Security Adviser Uzi Arad spoke over the weekend to Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and called for a public condemnation. The phone call was initiated by Bildt, and came following a meeting in Stockholm on Friday between Israel’s envoy, Benny Dagan, and Sweden’s deputy foreign minister.
Despite the meeting and the phone call, Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt said on Saturday his government would not condemn the report.
“No one can demand that the Swedish government violate its own constitution. Freedom of speech is an indispensable part of Swedish society,” Reinfeldt was quoted as telling the Swedish news agency TT.

No one is asking Sweden to violate its constitution. Sweden’s government is being asked to condemn the BS lies. Did Sweden publish the Mohammed cartoons? Didn’t think so …

Obama uses Liberal Christianity and Judaism to Push Marxist Agenda
By Sher Zieve:
With the establishment of another “if-you-hadn’t-heard-and-seen-it-you-wouldn’t-believe-it” moment, the US Dictator Obama decided to reel in the Christian clergy so that they may convince the Obama-ruled masses that ‘Jesus would want ObamaCare’. I strongly disagree.By the way, wasn’t it Obama who said: “We are not a Christian nation?” And, speaking to Rabbis while attempting to paraphrase a line from a Rosh Hashanah prayer, Obama—with his unending and increasingly insufferable arrogance—said: “We are God’s partners in matters of life and death!” Then, while many of us quote the proverbial ‘chapter and verse’ of the House version of ObamaCare, Obama and his media say—while offering no evidence of truth whatsoever—we who quote from the only ObamaCare program available are spreading “myths” and “misleading” the public. And now, Obama has decided to include an attempt at a Biblical quotation by saying we are “bearing false witness.” Funny stuff, BO! Earth to Obama: The myths, misleading statements and bearing of any and all “false witness” are yours. But, then we already knew that you knew.

Against the Rulers of Darkness
By Jim O’Neill:
“We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age.” (Eph. 5:12)
[To Lucifer] ..the first radical known to man, who rebelled against the establishment, and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom.”
From the Dedication page of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals”
We are involved in a war. It is a war between differing political ideologies, mind-sets, and world-views. It is a war that has been going on for millennia, and it is now rushing towards a conclusion—or at least the end of the act.At its heart, it is a war between spirituality and egoism, a war between truth and falsehood, between right and wrong.

Corporate Shills for Hope and Change
by Michelle Malkin:
Money from pharmaceutical firms and health care companies is dirty, evil and corrupting — except when key members of Team Obama are pocketing it. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs derides grassroots opponents of socialized health care as industry-funded lackeys with questionable motives and conflicts of interest. But what about the corporate shills at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

Stimulus hits a pothole
By MARK STEYN:
The other day, wending my way from Woodsville, N.H., 40 miles south to Plymouth, I came across several “stimulus” projects – every few miles, and heralded by a two-tone sign, a hitherto rare sight on Granite State highways. The orange strip at the top said “PUTTING AMERICA BACK TO WORK” with a silhouette of a man with a shovel, and the green part underneath informed you that what you were about to see was a “PROJECT FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT.” There then followed a few yards of desolate, abandoned scarified pavement, followed by an “END OF ROAD WORKS” sign, until the next “stimulus” project a couple of bends down a quiet rural blacktop.[...]
Energy Expert: ‘Cap and Trade’ a Leftist Plot
Newsmax:
As “cap and trade” legislation (H.R. 2454) moves through Congress, policy analysts are sounding the alarm about the impact such legislation would have on the already troubled U.S. economy. Marlo Lewis, a global warming and energy policy analyst at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, believes the bill is just one of many legislative and regulatory attempts by left-wing politicos to seize the U.S. and world financial system.“Basically, what they’re trying to do is engineer a takeover of the U.S and global economies through regulation,” Lewis told Newsmax.TV correspondent Kathleen Walter. “There are huge stakes here. Trillions of dollars are at stake.”

HPV Vaccine Facts All Parents Need to Know
By Janice Shaw Crouse, AT:
I sat at a picnic table listening to various mothers discussing their hectic schedules trying to keep up with teenage daughters, all on the same sports team. When one mother told of squeezing in an appointment that morning to get her daughter the HPV shot that her doctor recommended, the conversation turned to the necessity to “protect” their girls in such troubling times. I stayed quiet, hoping to learn the values guiding these parents’ decisions. Predictably, they had not thought through the issues, nor did they know the facts. Those mothers were merely following doctors’ recommendations and that of all the experts.

Obama, Ginsburg, and the Ghost of Margaret Sanger
By Miguel A. Guanipa, AT:
From what surely must vie for the title of “Dingiest Gorge in Hell”, the perdition bound soul of Margaret Sanger, posthumous Queen of the radical feminist movement, was unbeknownst summoned — and just as quickly retired to the infernal pit where it likely makes its eternal home — by a very artless and candid response from Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, during a recent, hardly publicized, New York Times Magazine interview.Billed as a serious enquiry into the psyche of the esteemed judge, the interchange consisted primarily of a whole lot of tedious bewailing the female gene’s perennial struggle against the oppressive, sexist culture that ostensibly permeates even moderately influential power structures in this country. At times, exposing this presumed, deep-seated, patriarchal impulse of the male species appeared to be the sole objective of the interview.
And then, suddenly, and most unexpectedly, Mrs. Ginsburg yielded a rather frank assessment of the Pro-choice movement’s little known history of eugenics.

Undermining Democracy in the Name of Human Rights
By Janet Levy, AT:
Shakedown: How Our Government is Undermining Democracy in the Name of Human Rights
By Ezra LevantMcClelland & Stewart
232 pp., $25.95When in September 2005, the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published 12 editorial cartoons, most depicting the Muslim prophet Mohammed, Muslims worldwide reacted with protests and violence that lead to the death of over 100 people and the destruction of three Danish foreign embassies. Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen described the cartoon riots as Denmark’s worst international crisis since World War II. Much debate ensued as to whether the depictions of Mohammed were legitimate expressions of free speech characteristic of Western criticism of all religions or, if in fact, the cartoons were blasphemous and evidence of rampant Islamophobia.
By February of 2006, the cartoons and their aftermath had become a major news story and a worldwide controversy. Although the story of the riots was widely covered by the Western media, few in print and broadcast media actually displayed the offending cartoons. Bristling at the idea of self-censorship and refusing to pander to political correctness, Ezra Levant, a lawyer and publisher of Western Standard magazine — based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada — made what appeared to be a logical journalistic decision to publish the story with the accompanying cartoons. He felt strongly that this newsworthy story warranted showing the source of the chaos.
Levant’s single action of journalistic prerogative led to his battle of a lifetime over his own right to free expression and freedom from prosecution for exercising it.
